Confirmation Mini Retreat
Confirmation Mini Retreat - March 22 from 12:15 to 3:30 pm
For all of our youth who have “opted in” to our confirmation program, we will be hosting our mini retreat. This retreat helps us dive deeper into the topics we are covering in class, more space for discussion together and a few special guests. Lunch will be provided. More details will be emailed out to participating families.
Weed Wrangle
Volunteer to Wrangle Weeds - March 7 from 8 am to 2 pm
St. B’s is hosting our 2nd annual “Weed Wrangle” event!
Youth and families with younger children are invited to help remove invasive plants in designated areas around our campus. We will also prep the areas to be replanted with native plants that are more beneficial to the creatures that live in our ecosystem.
Children 12 and below must be under the supervision of a parent. Youth 13 and up can participate without parental supervision. All training and instructions will be provided that day.
Easter Egg Battle
Easter Egg Battle - March 1st from 2-4 pm
Are you ready for an easter egg battle for the ages? Join us for an epic team game where you’ll work together to gain eggs and hide from the chaos bunnies that plague our campus.
This will also be a diocesean wide youth event so we will have a big crowd for this event.
Bring a friend, borrow an easter egg basket, and sign up today to join us!
This event is going to be outdoors and weather dependent. We will communicate with families if we need to cancel or reschedule.
Youth Families Volunteering with RITI
Saturday, February 7
All Youth and their families are invited to volunteer with Room in the Inn! Gretchen Abernathy and Gabe Soundara are organizing this event. This is a great spot to get to know your fellow youth families. Sign-up here to let us know how your family would like to help out!
Contact Gretchen with questions: Gretchen.abernathy@gmail.com.
Volunteering in the Gym for Annual Meeting
Sunday, February 8
Youth are invited to volunteer to lead a “play station” for children ages 4-12 during our Annual Meeting from 9:45-10:50 am. Their leadership helps us create a fun and safe environment for our kids to play while our regular volunteers and parents attend our annual meeting. If your youth is interested in joining us, sign up here. With any questions, contact Suzanne (sdipiazza@stbs.net).
No youth formation hour this week and we will return on February 15th.
Acolyte Olympics
Saturday, February 21
All current acolytes are invited for the Winter Games of our Acolyte Olympics! We are gathering all of our acolytes from far and wide (8:30 and 11 am services) to test their skills, speed, endurance, and abilities through a series of top secret games and challenges. We’ll serve pizza, explain the rules, and then break you up into different teams. Together, you’ll work through a series of puzzles, acolyte skills challenges, and other feats of strength (just kidding on that last one but honestly, you never know).
RSVP is required by Tuesday, February 17.
