We believe that we are called to be grateful, good stewards of all the gifts that God has given us. The tradition of giving back to God and to the church comes from the Biblical practice of “tithing,” which means to give back a tenth of our earnings to God (Numbers 18:26). We believe that even in the 21st century, giving back to God is still a spiritual matter of living from a place of abundance instead of scarcity.

We see stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it is also about contributing time and talents, and volunteering for ministry and mission. In addition, we believe that giving is part of what tethers us to the St. B's family.

We try to make giving financially as easy a possible. If you have any questions about the following ways to give, please contact Teresa Robinson at

During every service, we pass offering plates down the pews as part of our worship. Cash or checks can be given this way.

Simply mail a check to:

Stewardship Season

God continues to pour gifts on St. B’s. In fact, giving is what God does for a living. Arguably the most famous verse in the Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave” (John 3.16). And it’s in light of all God’s gifts that Fr. Sammy invites you into a new season of gratitude and generosity at St. Bartholomew’s. Through Christ the King Sunday, November 24, we have an opportunity to take three steps in support of our mission and work in the world.

1. Take an Account: What are the gifts in my life for which I’m grateful to God?

2. Ask God: Now what?

3. Act in faith: Pledge to support our church this year with yoru time, talent, and treasure.

If you didn't receive Fr. Sammy's letter or a pledge card, email the church office. Please continue to pray daily for the St. B’s Family through our season of gratitude and generoisty using the prayer below.

Both prayer and pledge cards can be found in the Narthex.

Gracious God, giver of all we have and hold as stewards; Grant the people of St. Bartholomew’s a deep and abiding awareness that all things come from You — our health, our incomes, our jobs, our talents, and our generous impulse. Send your Holy Spirit to help us swim against the rising tides of materialism, envy, individualism, and greed in our culture. When we are tempted to think of money as a private matter, remind us that You have asked for part of what we have been given to be returned to You as a symbol of our awareness that You give all we have. And, further, help us to help each other in this grace of giving, for You are the lover of souls and call us to nothing less than transformation in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
