30 Days of Gratitude & Generosity

Held in the hull of the Barque called St. Batholomew, we are set to sail into 2021: Moving toward God. Moving toward the world. Moving toward the poor.

Between now and November 22, Fr. Sammy asks you to do three things: Take account of what you're grateful for. Ask God how you should respond. 3. Then act with a promise to support St. B's in the coming year. To encourage you in these endeavors, we will be sharing stories of gratitude and generosity weekly.

Giving

We believe that we are called to be grateful, good stewards of all the gifts that God has given us. The tradition of giving back to God and to the church comes from the Biblical practice of “tithing,” which means to give back a tenth of our earnings to God (Numbers 18:26). We believe that even in the 21st century, giving back to God is still a spiritual matter of living from a place of abundance instead of scarcity.

We see stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it is also about contributing time and talents, and volunteering for ministry and mission. In addition, we believe that giving is part of what tethers us to the St. B's family.

We try to make giving financially as easy a possible. If you have any questions about the following ways to give, please contact Teresa Robinson at trobinson@stbs.net
