Creation Care

Our Creation Care ministry reflects our belief that caring for the earth is an act of worship, justice, and stewardship. The Creation Care Committee (CCC) leads our efforts to reduce waste, promote sustainability, and integrate creation-minded practices across our church life and campus.

What We're Doing

  • Composting and recycling throughout campus

  • Reducing or eliminating single-use products and decorations

  • Hosting educational events and seasonal initiatives

  • Transitioning from a “landscaping” to a “landskeeping” mindset to help our grounds be a healthy, biodiverse sanctuary

  • Exploring solar panel options and community partnerships

St. B’s has recently participated in a year-long cohort of Nashville churches organized by the international ecumenical network A Rocha, working together to live out our shared call to environmental stewardship.

Want to get involved? Join a waste team for church events or contact the CCC to learn about upcoming projects.
