Feast Days
At St. B’s, we take to heart Jesus’ vision of the Kingdom of God as a joyful feast. So when a feast day arrives in the liturgical calendar, we celebrate — with reverence, beauty, and often a party!
The seven principal feasts of the Church year are:
Christmas, Epiphany, Easter, Ascension Day, Pentecost, Trinity Sunday, and All Saints’ Day.
On these occasions, worship is elevated with festive music, incense, and bell ringing. After the service, we continue the celebration with special gatherings for Epiphany, Easter, Pentecost, All Saints’ Day, and the Feast of St. Bartholomew (in August).
We also honor St. Francis’ Day in early October with a special Blessing of the Animals.
