Love in Action
At St. B’s, we are committed to serving our neighbors with compassion and humility. Through hands-on volunteer efforts and thoughtful reflection, we put love into action — seeking to embody Christ’s care for the vulnerable, the underserved, and the overlooked.
We send a monthly email, Love in Action, with current opportunities and reflections on justice, mercy, and mission. Below you’ll find some of our standing volunteer opportunities:
Shower Up Nashville
Join us in offering dignity and hospitality to neighbors experiencing homelessness through Shower Up, a mobile shower ministry. Volunteers greet guests, help with logistics, and distribute hygiene supplies.
You can sign up through St. B’s or directly via showerup.org.
The Branch of Nashville
Pack and distribute food boxes or assist with English language services at The Branch — a faith-based food and language resource center serving the Antioch community.
Learn more or volunteer directly at thebranchofnashville.org.
Room in the Inn
Each Saturday night from November through March, we welcome 12 pre-screened guests experiencing homelessness. Volunteers are needed to:
Provide and serve dinner
Stay overnight as a host
Provide breakfast and sack lunches
Help with laundry (bedding and towels)
Families and individuals of all ages are invited to participate. Questions? Contact us.
St. Luke’s Pantry
We collect essential items monthly for St. Luke’s Community House, including:
Diapers (especially sizes 3–6)
Non-perishable food
Hygiene and feminine products
Household cleaning supplies
Baby formula and pet food
Donations can be left in the designated cabinet near the gym.
Thistle Farms Graduation Baskets
Each May, we prepare housewarming gift baskets for women graduating from Thistle Farms’ residential recovery program. The baskets include home essentials to support them as they begin a new chapter.
