Suzanne Di Piazza
Suzanne Di Piazza, a military spouse for 25 years, is a Nashville native. She has called many places across the country home, including Bowling Green and Lexington, KY., Ann Arbor, Midland, Muskegon, and Grosse Pointe Farms, MI., Yuma, AZ., San Diego, CA., Honolulu, HI., Quantico, VA., Havelock and Jacksonville NC. and Beaufort, SC. She attended Arizona Western College, Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI and St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Suzanne served as the Director of Children and Family Faith Formation for faith communities in seven of the aforementioned cities. Besides working and volunteering in churches since she was a young adult, Suzanne has worked or volunteered in elementary, middle and high schools, with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, at St. Luke’s Community House Reading Buddies program, Nashville Humane Society and with the American Red Cross.
Suzanne lives with her husband, Kevin, and 12-year-old chihuahua rescue, Ruby. Kevin is an Air Force veteran who recently retired from the VA. Her daughter, Carly Southworth, a social worker, is the Chief Program Officer for Family and Children’s Service here in Nashville. She and her family live near Suzanne and Kevin. Her son, Matthew Southworth, an engineer and stepdaughter, Cydney Domsic, live in Michigan with their families. Suzanne is devoted to the Trinity, family, (especially her 4 grandchildren) friends, children, and dogs. She enjoys reading, painting, scrapbooking, organizing, University of Michigan football, thrifting and all things nature.
