Rev. Ed Smith

A cradle Episcopalian from Miami, Florida, Ed comes to St. Bartholomew’s from the Diocese of North Carolina. He and his wife, Kinya—also from Miami—have been married for 18 years. Kinya is a middle school English teacher here in Nashville.

Their son, Edward Smith III, is a 10th grader at St. Andrew’s-Sewanee, where he enjoys history, soccer, and video games, and is a member of both the cross-country and soccer teams.

Ed enjoys cooking, reading, movies, and exploring local history. Kinya enjoys music, having played the piano since elementary school, and the couple shares a love for traveling. Last summer, they spent a month in Cape Town, South Africa, participating in a cross-cultural experience with the Anglican Church there.
