1. Parish Self Study

  • Search committee selected and commissioned ✔
  • Parish survey: May 22 – June 12
  • Parish focus groups hosted: June
  • Parish information session: July
  • Parish profile published: August 28
  • Office of Transition Ministry portfolio posted: August 31


2. Solicitation of Nominations & Applications

  • Formal nomination and application period commences
  • Review of applicants by the diocese


3. Candidate Discernment

  • Applications reviewed by search committee
  • Discernment conversations with selected candidates
  • Selected candidates visited at current parishes by search committee members
  • Search committee selects 3 final candidates and recommends to vestry
  • Diocese review of selected candidates
  • Selected candidates invited to St. B’s for in-person interviews with vestry
  • Vestry discerns final candidate


4. Call of New Rector

  • Request for the bishop’s permission to call final candidate to St. B’s
  • Vestry extends invitation to final candidate
  • Candidate accepts call
  • Announcement of new rector
