The purpose of St. B’s Youth Formation is to make space for teenagers within the St. B’s family to learn to love God, themselves, and others in the way of Jesus. Our vision is for every teenager in the St. B’s family to belong here, to be known here, and to know that they are beloved by God and called by God. We move toward this by welcoming the Spirit, studying scripture, worshiping with our liturgy, and playing well together.
Hi Youth and Families,
We've got some really fun stuff planned for the month of November! First up, we wanted to introduce you to our Nashville Fellow, Phil Gaines, who will be serving in the youth ministry through May! He is assisting with administrative, logistical, and direct contact work! Furthermore, we have a fantastic movie night planned for the evening of All Saints' Day, and a ziplining/aerial ropes course on the 20th! Watch the video for more info, and we can't wait to see all of you!

We want to be a community that is bonded by fun and fostered through relationships; therefore, we are making community building and fun cornerstones of who we are as a Youth community.
On November 1, All Saints' Day, we will be watching Black Panther together in the gym at St B's! We would love for your students to join us as we encounter a well crafted film and think about the ways individuals can leave an impact on their entire societies! If you're interested, you can sign up here.
On November 20, we will be headed the the Adventure Park at Nashville for an evening of aerial ropes courses and ziplining, with glow-in-the-dark elements and bonfires to warm up around! It's going to be so much fun; you can find more info and sign up here!
We want to be a community who love Christ, discuss the hard questions together, and actively participate in the life of the Church, in order to be formed into mature Christians. Sunday Morning Formation, service opportunities, and other times of study are critical parts of this formation.
Starting on October 4, we will be meeting in the St. B’s Garden from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm for an outdoor time together. We are asking youth to register each week and bring a blanket or chair to see on. You can get registered for those time together here.
This fall, we're going to be learning about the "Karens" of the Bible. We'll take a look at biblical people, how it felt like they were brining big "Karen" energy to situations, and how we can learn from their stories. We hope that by studying the Bible with humor, we have see deeper insights to the Bible stories that make up our wonderful heritage of faith.
We want to be a community who offers opportunities for students to be confirmed. We will launch our Confirmation Program in January! This program will utilize a discussion based classroom model, offering a meaningful spiritual experience for youth to explore their baptismal vows and get a greater understanding of what it is like to be a part of the Church. Fr. Sammy, Alysha, and other guest speakers will be leading this class during January and Februrary of 2021.
If your student is interested or would like more information, please register here for our informational meeting to go over the curriculum, requirements, and hear more about what the process will look like for youth.
All staff and volunteers with teens are required to have a background inquiry investigation conducted by the Diocese and the State of Tennessee. They are also required to complete Safeguarding God's Children. Download our safe church policies here.
