The purpose of St. B’s Youth Formation is to invite youth to become mature Christ followers.
Hey Youth and Families!
March is looking like it'll be a great month here in St. B's Youth Ministry! We've lined up several great ways for you to get plugged in! On Sunday mornings, join our quaran-team small groups to vibe check God and learn about the Trinity. This month, also, we will host a trip to the Nashville Adventure Park for ziplining and ropes courses, and we've got a service opportunity in the form of preparing and serving two meals to St. B's Room in the Inn guests!
For more information on how we are handling gathering during the pandemic, please check out our guidelines here.
Due to the evolving COVID-19 situation, these events and gathering are subject to church and local guidelines. We will send out text and email communications if an event or gathering is changed and do our best to update the website in a timely manner.

We want to be a community who love Christ, discuss the hard questions together, and actively participate in the life of the Church as we are all formed into mature Christians.
For February and March, we are inviting all youth to come join a “Quaran-team” for our 11 am Formation Hour on Sundays! We will spend the next two months in small groups, doing a "vibe check" on God by discussing the nature and character of the Trinity with our amazing adult volunteers.
This programming will be different than our fall formation experience, which had a large group experience and a weekly sign up. Now, we are asking all youth to register once for a small group and we will check in every week to see if they are going to be joining us. We are asking youth to commit to joining us for eight weeks with the same crew of students to get to know their peers better and build community. We will have three groups that will meet inside the church building and three groups that will be meeting outside. Please pick the option that best reflects your family’s preferences.
You can get registered and join a Quaran-team here.
We want to be a community that is bonded by fun and fostered through relationships; therefore, we are making community building and fun cornerstones of who we are as a Youth community.
Taking place on April 11, Senior Seminar is a panel for youth and parents to come ask questions about the college experience via Zoom. We are excited to have the Nashville Fellows join our youth panel to talk about everything from how to score free pizza to getting involved on campus to what to do when you have questions about faith or mental health. Then, we'll round out our time with a moderated Q & A. The Parent Panel will meet afterward to talk about how parents can support and coach their kids through the first few years of college. This panel will include parents at different stages who are empty nesting, single parents, had their student choose a gap year/college from home, or it's their first kid off to college.
More details are to come at a later date.
We host monthly fun events for students to gather together and invite friends! Fun is an essential part of welcoming people into a faith community; therefore, we want to cultivate those spaces for our youth to be invitational.
We are heading to the Nashville Adventure Park on Saturday, March 27th from 4:45 - 9 pm. The cost is $35 per youth and we have scholarships available. It's going to be an awesome time of zip lining through the trees, testing our skills on the challenge course and hanging out together! March 11th is our last day to sign up.
Are you interested in coming? Sign up here! Also, please invite your friends to this event!
We are excited to be partnering with RITI to get our Youth volunteering for our awesome RITI guests. We are looking for two types of volunteers: (1) Dinner Servers and (2) Grocery Shoppers. Dinner Servers will come on their assigned night to help Alysha cook the meals, serve them to our guests, and clean up. Grocery Shoppers will join Alysha at the Green Hills Kroger to shop for our meals.
Due to Covid, we are having a limited number of spots available; thus, please sign up early (here) to save your spot.
Youth play an essential part of our worshiping life. More details will be forthcoming on how they can get involved!
More information to come at a later date.
Our formation experience is guided by weekly adult mentors and youth sponsors. Our weekly youth adult mentors serve on Sunday mornings during our formation hour, join us for fun events, and help mentor our youth. Youth sponsors are our “gap fillers” who join us when our regularly scheduled leaders can’t be at fun events or joining us on Sunday mornings. Both roles are vitally important to the flourishing of our youth program.
All staff and volunteers with children are required to have a background inquiry investigation conducted by the Diocese and the State of Tennessee. They are also required to complete Safeguarding God's Children.
