The Chamber Singers and friends led by Director of Music David Madeira offered their spring Sacred Music Concert this past Sunday, May 5 in the late afternoon. It was a joyous and beautiful occasion!

Ascension Sunday
Holy Eucharist, 8:30 a.m. & 11 a.m.
Please join us this Sunday, May 14 for Holy Eucharist at 8:30 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. The 8:30 service is live-streamed and available for later viewing. For Families: The nursery opens at 8:15 a.m. for ages 0–3 years, and the 8:30 service includes a children's homily for 3 yrs through 6th grade.
This is the last Sunday before we switch to our summer worship time on May 19, 2024. More information is below under Pentecost.
Formation Hour
This is the last Sunday of Christian formation for all ages starting at 10 a.m., including children and youth, before we break for the summer. Fr. Josh finishes his class for adults, The Church Finding Its Way in a City in Flux, exploring Paul's letters to the Corinthian church in its context and contemplating how his concepts remain relevant today. April 7 - May 12 in Wallace Hall.

LOVE & SERVE 456 FAIR | THIS SUNDAY, MAY 12, BETWEEN SERVICES
On Sunday, May 12, between our worship services (until 11:05), our 456 students will set up tables on the porch and courtyard (or in the Parish Hall Lobby in case of rain) to share about St. B's Mission Partners. Our kids have a heart for service and participating more fully in the work God has given St. B's to do! If you'd like to give money to any of these mission partners, the students will have money jars, QR codes, and delicious baked goods for sale.

PENTECOST ON MAY 19 | CHANGE TO ONE SERVICE & PENTECOST PARTY!
St. B's celebrates Pentecost--the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the church--on Sunday, May 19! We move to our summer schedule--one service at 9:30 a.m. Following worship, we will celebrate outside (or in the gym, in case of rain) with our Pentecost Party of red balloons, strawberries and cream, and other treats. We will have games on the lawn. We need your help with treats, set-up, and clean-up. Please sign up HERE to make the party festive!

THISTLE FARMS GRADUATION | JUST 8 MORE ITEMS FOR THE GIFT BASKETS BY THIS SUNDAY!
Thistle Farm's Graduation will be held off-site on Saturday, May 19. Once again, St. B's is creating gift baskets for this year's 8 graduates. We need your help filling them! Sign up to donate items and gift cards by clicking HERE. Monetary donations can be made by check to the church office or online through Breeze by clicking HERE. Please mark both as "Thistle Farms Graduation." Items can be left in the donation tubs in the Parish Hall lobby through this Sunday, May 12, and the baskets will be assembled next week. Questions? VOLUNTEER WITH SHOWER UP | THERE IS STILL TIME TO SIGN UP!
Sign up to volunteer with ShowerUp on May 19 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Be a welcoming and helpful presence for those experiencing homelessness and anyone in need by providing mobile showers, hygiene resources, and personal care. Jobs include: managing the shower wait-list, handing out toiletries, general and shower clean-up, and providing beverages and food. This is a great opportunity to invite friends!

BLESSING DAVID MADEIRA & FAMILY | SUNDAY, MAY 19, 9:30 A.M.
Our Director of Music David Madeira will spend this summer on a well-deserved sabbatical after 10 years of full-time leadership of our Music Ministry. On Sunday, May 19 at 9:30 a.m., as we celebrate Pentecost, we will also bless David and his family. This is David's last service with us before this time of rest, creativity, writing, and travel for him. He will return to lead us in worship on August 18. We are grateful for the volunteers who are stepping in to lead our music this summer: Don Cason, Mark McClure, Christopher Phillips, and Eric Wyse. If you have any questions about the music ministry in David's absence, please contact our Office Coordinator & Music Assistant, Amy Wirdzek.

WOMEN'S WALK AT RADNOR | SATURDAY, JUNE 1, 9:00 - 10:00 A.M.
Come stretch your legs and get some fresh air! Join us for a walk and fellowship around Radnor Lake. We will gather at the visitor's center at the Granny White Pike entrance. Park at Radnor or Strong Tower Bible Church. Contact Wendy Baldwin with any questions.

St. Luke's Food Pantry May Items: Canned meats, cereal, peanut butter, jelly, and tissues. St. Luke's is also always in need of diapers and wipes. Please leave collections for St. Luke's food pantry in the cabinet beside the doors to the gym.

Second Tuesdays for Men holds their next gathering, Tuesday, May 14. Every second Tuesday, the men of St. B's gather at M.L. Rose on 8th Ave at 5:30 p.m. to connect and eat! Come as often as you can. Email Dave West, Sr. with questions or to get on his reminder list.

Grant, we pray, Almighty God, that as we believe your only begotten Son our Lord Jesus Christ to have ascended into heaven, so we may also in heart and mind there ascend, and with him continually dwell; who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
