Sally is St. B's Director of Community Life. She joined the St. B’s staff in January of 2011 as the part-time
director of communications. Her position grew to also include Youth
Formation before taking on communications full-time. Now, as the
Director of Community Life, Sally throws parish parties, orchestrates
hospitality, dreams up at-home kits, creates visual media, thinks big
picture, and manages our communications.
Born in Derbyshire, England, Sally grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, from age 10. She was baptized in the Church of England and confirmed in the Episcopal Church. Sally went to Northwestern University and attended graduate school at Ohio State University. She then moved to Tennessee to work with Mountain T.O.P., a short-term mission organization serving counties along the Cumberland plateau. Eventually, she became the Youth Minister at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Franklin, TN. While at St. Paul’s. she received training as a Spiritual Director and developed The Pilgrim’s Way, taking older teens and adults on spiritual journeys through France and Great Britain.
When Sally isn’t serving the St. B’s family, you can usually find her outside in nature, often at Radnor Lake taking photos and looking for birds or paddling the waterways with her musician-husband, Matt, whom she married at St. B’s in 2016. Together they long for a garden, a puppy, and more adventures in England (and Alaska).
