As Father Jerry says, mission and outreach is the very heart - the DNA - of St. B's. The Mission and Outreach Steering Committee helps organize and grow St. B's mission and outreach activities. We are divided into four subcommittees, each focused on a different dimension of this imporant work and each chaired by St. B's a parishioner with a heart for mission and outreach. the four subcommittees include:

Sudanese

(Chair: Deborah Martin, Sudanese Liaison: Randy Hoover-Dempsey)

This subcommittee seeks to bring Christ to our Sudanese brothers and sisters at St. B's, in Nashville and beyond. This group oversees our efforts to support the Sudanese community here and, among other activities, provides financial and prayer support for education efforts at the Kakuma Refugee camp and assists in bible translation for Sudanese languages. Anglican and Global

(Chair: Langley Granbery)

This subcommittee focuses on supporting mission and outreach activities outside our diocese. Examples include providing financial and prayer support for World Relief, Anglican Network Anglican Frontier Missions, and the US Center for World Mission. Local and Diocesan

This subcommittee focuses on the mission and outreach activities in our local diocese. Sample activities under the local and diocesan umbrella include Siloam Clinic, St. Luke's and Room-In-The-Inn. Contact Suzie if you would like to help expand and develop these activities.

Short and Long Term Missions

(Chair: John Deane)

This subcommittee focuses on supporting - financially and in prayer - St. B's parishioners who are involved in either long or short term mission work. This subcommittee helps organize the home support for our long term missionaries, and provides guidance, as well as prayer and financial support, to St. B's parishioners who wish to go on short term missions. The work of the four subcommittees is coordinated by the Mission and Outreach Steering Committee, which consists of the chairs of each subcommittee, plus Bonnie Bashor, Becky Stubbs, Randall Ferguson, and Randy Hoover-Dempsey. Nancy Hyer chairs the Steering Committee. Each feels blessed to be involved in this important work and invite you to join.
